Pipedrive MCP: Included on Every Plan, Capped by Tokens

Pipedrive says its MCP server comes with every plan. The same page says usage is capped by tokens and never says how many you get. If you want Claude working in your pipeline every day, that missing number matters.

Pipedrive MCP is the official Pipedrive server that lets an AI assistant such as Claude or ChatGPT read and update deals, contacts and activities under your own login. It is included on every plan. Usage is subject to token limits based on your plan, and Pipedrive’s MCP pages give no numbers for them.

I read Pipedrive’s feature page, its help articles and its developer docs on October 5, 2026.

What Pipedrive MCP Is And Which Plans Include It

Pipedrive MCP is a link between your Pipedrive account and an AI assistant. You type a request in plain language, such as “which deals have no next activity”, and the assistant looks it up or makes the change for you. If the term is new, here is what an MCP server is in plain words.

Pipedrive launched it on June 30, 2026 as its own official server, built and maintained by Pipedrive. It follows the Model Context Protocol, the open standard that lets assistants talk to other software. Pipedrive states it is available to customers on all plans, starting with Lite.

You connect by signing in with your own Pipedrive login. There is no software to download and no code to write. The address you will need during setup is https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp.

One naming detail saves confusion. Pipedrive’s feature page calls it Pipedrive MCP, while its help articles tell you to name the connector “Pipedrive MCP BETA”. Both point to the same thing, so look for either name.

The official server and the ones on GitHub are different things

Search for Pipedrive MCP and you will also find servers built by independent developers. One of them advertises more than 300 tools. They are separate projects with their own setup and their own risks.

Is Pipedrive MCP Free? The Token Limit Pipedrive Does Not Publish

Pipedrive MCP has no separate charge, but it is not unlimited. Pipedrive has no free plan, so “free” here means no extra line on a plan you already pay for. The limit is in two sentences of Pipedrive’s own FAQ.

Asked who can use it, Pipedrive answers: “All Pipedrive customers, on every plan. Usage is subject to token limits based on your plan and you can purchase additional tokens if needed.”

Asked about extra cost, it answers: “Usage is based on token limits included in your plan and additional tokens can be purchased if needed.”

Neither answer gives a number. I found no page on Pipedrive’s site that says how many tokens each plan includes for MCP, what one request uses or what extra tokens cost.

These tokens are Pipedrive’s own, a counter on your Pipedrive account, and they have nothing to do with the tokens Claude or ChatGPT count on their side.

What you actually pay for

CostWhat Pipedrive says
A Pipedrive seatLite starts at $14/seat/month billed annually. No free plan, 14-day trial
The assistantYour own Claude or ChatGPT plan. For ChatGPT, Pipedrive requires Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu
Extra Pipedrive tokensCan be bought if needed. No price on the MCP pages

The one token budget Pipedrive does publish

Pipedrive’s developer docs describe a daily token budget for its API, the older way software talks to Pipedrive. Those docs do not mention MCP, so the table below is not confirmed to apply to it. I include it because it is the only number Pipedrive gives.

The API budget is 30,000 tokens a day, multiplied by a number for your plan and by your seat count. The multiplier is 1 on Lite, 2 on Growth, 5 on Premium and 7 on Ultimate. The whole company shares one budget and it resets once a day.

Daily API token budget from Pipedrive’s developer docs. Not confirmed to apply to MCP.

Plan1 seat3 seats5 seats
Lite30,00090,000150,000
Growth60,000180,000300,000
Premium150,000450,000750,000
Ultimate210,000630,0001,050,000

Each API call has a price in tokens. Reading one record costs 2, listing records costs 20, updating a record costs 10 and a search costs 40.

There is one hint that the two budgets are linked. The API docs say the daily budget can be raised with purchased token top-ups, and the MCP FAQ says additional tokens can be purchased. That is a hint and not proof.

What a day of requests would use if the API budget applies

One request to Claude can trigger several calls behind the scenes, so no request has a fixed price. What the published costs give you is a floor, the least a request could use. It also assumes a connector action costs the same as the matching API call, which Pipedrive has not confirmed.

Minimum tokens per request at Pipedrive’s published API prices. Not confirmed to apply to MCP.

What you askCalls behind it, at minimumTokens, at least
“Which deals in Proposal have no next activity?”1 list20
“Find the Acme deal”1 search40
“Open the Acme deal and tell me where it stands”1 search, 1 read42
“Move the Acme deal to Proposal Sent”1 search, 1 update50
“Push the close date a week on the Acme, Borealis and Corex deals”3 searches, 3 updates150

Take a solo seller on Lite, and assume the 30,000-token API budget is the one MCP uses. At the 50-token floor that is 600 find-and-update requests, and even if real requests cost five times the floor it is still 120 a day.

So if the API budget is the one MCP draws from, a small team asking questions by hand is unlikely to hit it. The risk is different. That budget belongs to the whole company, so every other tool that talks to your Pipedrive would be drawing from the same pot.

Before you rely on the connector, ask Pipedrive support three things. How many MCP tokens does my plan include per day, does MCP share a budget with the API and what do extra tokens cost?

What Claude Can And Cannot Do Through Pipedrive MCP

Claude can read and update your Pipedrive records, and there is no delete tool in the connector’s list in Claude’s directory. When I checked on October 6, 2026, that list had 33 tools covering deals, people, organizations, leads, activities and notes, plus read-only access to your pipeline stages.

The table below comes from the tool list in Claude’s directory.

AreaReadCreate or updateDelete
DealsYes, including searchYesNone listed
Contacts (people)Yes, including searchYesNone listed
OrganizationsYes, including searchYesNone listed
LeadsYes, including searchYes, including converting a lead to a dealNone listed
ActivitiesYesYes, including scheduling follow-upsNone listed
NotesYesYesNone listed
Pipeline details and sales activityYes, stages are read-onlyNone listedNone listed

None of the tools Pipedrive lists removes a record. A badly worded request can still overwrite a field with the wrong value, so the missing delete is a seatbelt and not a guarantee.

Two rules sit on top of that table. Pipedrive says the assistant “can only access data and perform actions that your Pipedrive user account is authorized to access”, so a rep who cannot see a colleague’s deals in Pipedrive cannot see them through Claude either.

It also says “all actions are recorded in the change log for full auditability”, which gives you a place to check what was changed.

Connectors draw these lines in different places. I compared seven of them in the best CRMs for Claude and eight in the best MCP CRMs for AI agents. I have also covered Attio MCP, HubSpot MCP and Zoho MCP on their own.

How To Set Up Pipedrive MCP In Claude And ChatGPT

You need a Pipedrive user that is allowed to install apps. I have not connected a Pipedrive account of my own, so steps 1 to 3 follow Pipedrive’s help articles and steps 4 and 5 are the checks I would run first.

1. Add the connector in Claude

In Claude, open Customize and choose Connectors. Pipedrive’s connector is listed in Claude’s directory as “Pipedrive”, so search there first. If you don’t see it, Pipedrive’s help article describes the manual route, where you click the plus icon, choose “Add custom connector”, name it “Pipedrive MCP BETA” and paste https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp as the connection.

2. Sign in to the right Pipedrive company

Pipedrive asks you to sign in and approve access. If your login belongs to more than one Pipedrive company, make sure you approve the one you mean to connect. Then review the permissions and click “Allow and install”.

3. Let Claude load every tool

Pipedrive notes that Claude may not load all of the connector’s tools by default, and its help article points to a setting that loads them all. Switch that on before you test, or Claude may tell you it cannot do something the connector supports.

4. Ask one question that only reads

Start with something you can check by eye, such as “List my five most recently updated deals”. Open Pipedrive beside the chat and compare. If the answers match, the connection points at the right account.

5. Make one small change and find it in the change log

Ask Claude to schedule a follow-up on one test deal or move it to the next stage. Then find that change in Pipedrive’s change log. You now know where to look on the day something goes wrong.

Setting it up in ChatGPT

ChatGPT needs more from you. Pipedrive says you must be on a Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan, and you have to switch on developer mode under “Security and login” in ChatGPT’s settings.

After that, open Plugins and click the plus icon to create a new one. Name it “Pipedrive MCP BETA”, paste the same address into the connection field and click Create. Approve the permissions when Pipedrive asks, then add the plugin to your conversation.

What Pipedrive MCP Will Not Do For A Small Team

Pipedrive MCP is a good way to ask questions of a pipeline that is already kept up to date. It does less for a team whose pipeline is behind.

Stalled deals and reminders stay inside Pipedrive

Nothing happens until someone opens a chat and types a request. The connector does not watch your inbox, notice a stalled deal or send a reminder on its own. Pipedrive’s own automations are the tool for that job.

The token allowance may be shared by the whole company

Pipedrive’s API budget is one pot for the whole company, and Pipedrive has not said whether the MCP limit works the same way. If it does, a colleague who asks Claude for a full pipeline review every morning uses the same allowance you do. On a team of five, agree early on who uses it for what.

The answer is only as good as the record

Ask Claude which deals need attention and it reads what is in Pipedrive. If last week’s calls were never logged, the answer is confident and wrong. Can you say right now which of your open deals were last updated more than two weeks ago?

It can’t fix a pipeline nobody opens

A connector gives you a second window onto the same record. If the team avoids the first window, the second one shows stale deals faster. That is a problem with how the tool fits the team, and no connector solves it.

A clear pipeline comes before any assistant

Hanna-Maria Ojala runs Menestyvä Myynti, a Finnish sales coaching business, on her own. She used Pipedrive before she moved to Fluid CRM, and this is how she describes the change:

“I previously used Pipedrive. What I like most about Fluid is how clear and structured everything feels. It’s simple to see where each deal stands and what needs to happen next. My daily work is more focused now.”

Her point has nothing to do with AI or with Pipedrive’s connector. What she describes is seeing where each deal stands and what happens next, and no assistant helps until a pipeline gives you that.

Fluid CRM is what I built for small B2B teams with that problem.

It is one visual pipeline on a single plan at $16/seat/month, and its Claude connector is part of that plan with 21 tools and no delete tools. It has ordinary rate limits and no credit or token limits.

The AI CRM page shows what Claude can change in it. If you are weighing the two, Fluid CRM vs Pipedrive goes through the differences.

Pipedrive MCP FAQ

Is Pipedrive MCP free?

It has no separate charge. Pipedrive includes it on every paid plan, and there is no free plan. Usage is subject to token limits based on your plan, and Pipedrive sells extra tokens without giving a price on its MCP pages.

How many tokens does Pipedrive MCP use?

Pipedrive does not say. Its MCP pages give no token numbers per plan or per request. The only published budget is for the API, at 30,000 tokens a day times a plan multiplier times your seats, and Pipedrive has not confirmed that MCP uses it.

What is the Pipedrive MCP server URL?

The address is https://mcp.pipedrive.ai/mcp. You paste it into the connection field when you add a custom connector in Claude or a plugin in ChatGPT. You then sign in with your own Pipedrive login.

Does Pipedrive MCP work with ChatGPT?

Yes. Pipedrive says you need a ChatGPT Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu plan and developer mode switched on. You add it as a plugin with the same address used for Claude.

Can Claude delete deals in Pipedrive?

None of the tools Pipedrive lists removes a record. Claude can create and update deals, contacts and activities, so a wrong update is still possible. Check the change log if something looks off.

Is the official Pipedrive MCP different from the ones on GitHub?

Yes. The official server is built and run by Pipedrive, and you sign in with your Pipedrive login. The servers on GitHub are independent projects that usually need an API token and run on your own machine.

Is Pipedrive MCP safe to give to the whole team?

Each person connects with their own login, so they only reach what their Pipedrive role already allows. Changes are recorded in the change log. The thing to plan for is the token limit, since Pipedrive has not said whether each person gets their own or the company shares one.

Should You Turn On Pipedrive MCP

Turn on Pipedrive MCP if you already use Pipedrive and your pipeline is up to date. It costs nothing extra to try, and the open question is how far your plan’s tokens stretch. Send Pipedrive support the three token questions before the whole team depends on it.

If the bigger problem is that nobody opens the pipeline in the first place, fix that first, because a connector will not. That is the problem Fluid CRM was built for.
