You signed up for GoHighLevel to keep track of your leads. You got funnels, SMS, courses, review requests and a white-label mode along with it. Now finding one deal means clicking past a wall of menus, and you’re wondering what else is out there.
The best GoHighLevel alternative depends on what you use it for. If you need marketing automation, funnels or white-label resale, look at HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Keap, Vendasta or Systeme.io. If you only track your own deals, Fluid CRM, Pipedrive or Close will do that job with far less to learn.
Why Agencies Leave GoHighLevel
GoHighLevel is an all-in-one marketing platform that agencies can rebrand and resell to their own clients. The company now calls itself HighLevel, and its pricing page lists CRM and pipelines, funnels, websites, workflows, calendars, courses, email and SMS marketing, calling, reputation management and several AI tools.
It’s sold in three plans. Starter is $97 a month with 3 sub-accounts, Unlimited is $297 a month with unlimited sub-accounts and Agency Pro is $497 a month with SaaS Mode, which lets you sell the platform as your own software. Phone numbers, SMS, emails sent and premium AI are billed by usage on top.
Branding comes in three layers. The pricing page says you can put your own logo on the web app, SaaS Mode sits on Agency Pro only and a white-label mobile app is a separate add-on at $497 a month.
That’s a lot of product, and for the agency it was built for, it’s a good deal. You get one login per client, your logo on the web app and a way to bill clients for their usage.
The trouble starts when you’re not that agency. If you do SEO, design, paid ads or outbound for clients and you just want to see your own 30 open deals, you’re operating a platform built to be resold. The menus are built around sub-accounts, snapshots and automations.
I saw the same thing from the other side at Fenixtal, my outbound agency. I booked 1,250+ sales calls for 50+ B2B clients, and most of those clients tracked the leads in a messy spreadsheet or a CRM nobody on the team wanted to open.
The leads didn’t die because the tool lacked features, they died because nobody opened it.
So the first job is not picking a tool. It’s working out which part of GoHighLevel you’d miss.
The One Question That Picks Your GoHighLevel Alternative
Choosing a GoHighLevel alternative comes down to one question. Do you need the marketing platform, or do you only need to track your own deals? Those are two different kinds of software, and every tool on this list sits on one side.
Group A needs the marketing platform
You build funnels and landing pages for clients, your follow-up depends on automated SMS and email, or you resell the software under your own brand. If that’s you, a pipeline CRM will feel like a downgrade, because it is one.
Group B only tracks its own deals
You sell a service, your leads come from referrals, outbound or a contact form, and what you need is a board that shows who’s waiting on you. The funnels and the SMS were never part of how you sell.
Here’s a quick test. Open GoHighLevel and think about the last 30 days. Did you open anything other than Opportunities, Contacts and Conversations?
If the answer is no, you’re in group B. Using GoHighLevel for that is like renting a full restaurant kitchen to make your own lunch. The kitchen is fine, but you only needed a stove.
Kyler Thompson of Knight Theory, a solo creative studio, describes the feeling well. He wasn’t writing about GoHighLevel, he was writing about every CRM he’d tried before, and his words were “Other CRMs force so many unneeded features onto me in the name of being an all-in-one.”
Here are all eight side by side.
| Tool | Group | Best for | Starting price |
|---|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | A, marketing platform | Marketing automation tied to a CRM | Free CRM, Marketing Hub Starter $20/seat/month billed monthly |
| ActiveCampaign | A, marketing platform | Email automation | From $15/month for 1,000 contacts, billed annually |
| Keap | A, marketing platform | Service businesses with the budget for one big tool | From $299/month, plus required implementation |
| Vendasta | A, marketing platform | White-label resale to local businesses | $99/month minimum spend, white-label from $499 |
| Systeme.io | A, marketing platform | Funnels and courses on a small budget | Free plan, paid from $17/month |
| Fluid CRM | B, own deals | B2B teams of 1 to 10 that want a simple pipeline | $16/seat/month or $144/seat/year |
| Pipedrive | B, own deals | Sales teams of 5 to 20 | $14/seat/month billed annually |
| Close | B, own deals | Teams that sell by phone and text | From $9/month for one user, billed annually |
The first five are for group A and the last three are for group B. I’ll go through them in that order.
Best GoHighLevel Alternatives If You Need The Marketing Platform
These five tools replace the marketing side of GoHighLevel. None of them copies it feature for feature, so each entry says which part it covers and which part it leaves out.
1. HubSpot (best for marketing automation tied to a CRM)
HubSpot is the strongest replacement for GoHighLevel if you’re a business that markets to its own customers. The CRM, email marketing, landing pages, forms and automation all share one contact record, and the free CRM covers up to 2 users.
Best for: Businesses that want marketing and sales in one place and plan to grow into it.
Not for: Agencies that resell software to clients. HubSpot has no white-label or SaaS mode, so your clients would see HubSpot’s brand and not yours.
Real pricing math: The CRM is free for up to 2 users. Marketing Hub Starter lists at $20 per seat a month billed monthly and caps you at 10 automated actions. The automation most people leave GoHighLevel looking for sits on Marketing Hub Professional, which starts at $800 a month on an annual commitment with 3 seats and 2,000 marketing contacts, plus a required one-time onboarding fee of $3,000.
The tier-by-tier breakdown is in HubSpot alternatives for small business.
2. ActiveCampaign (best for email automation)
ActiveCampaign is an email automation tool first and a CRM second. If the part of GoHighLevel you rely on is the workflow builder that sends the right email after the right trigger, this is the strongest replacement on the list.
Best for: Agencies and small businesses whose marketing is mostly email sequences.
Not for: Anyone who wants the pipeline included. The pricing page lists Pipelines as a paid CRM add-on, and SMS is an add-on too.
Real pricing math: With 1,000 contacts and annual billing, Starter is $15 a month, Plus is $49, Pro is $79 and Enterprise is $145. Starter and Plus include 1 user and Pro includes 3. The price climbs with your contact count, so check it at the list size you really have.
3. Keap (only if you need its automation and have the budget)
Keap puts a CRM, automation, email and text, a sales pipeline, landing pages, payments and appointment booking into a single plan. It’s built for a business that uses the tool itself, and the automation can be powerful. Go in with your eyes open on the bill, though.
Best for: A service business that needs Keap’s automation, wants its marketing and its invoices in one login and has the budget for it.
Not for: Teams outside North America that depend on texting. Keap’s pricing page says text marketing is available in the U.S. only, and one-to-one texting in the U.S. and Canada.
Real pricing math: Keap starts at $299 a month billed monthly, with 2 users included and extra users at $39 a month each.
Keap also requires paid implementation services, so ask for that number before you compare Keap to anything.
4. Vendasta (best for white-label resale)
Vendasta is the one tool on this list built around the same idea as GoHighLevel’s agency plans. You get a client CRM, a marketplace of products and services you can resell at wholesale prices and a client portal that carries your brand.
Best for: Agencies that sell marketing services to local businesses and want their own branded portal.
Not for: An agency that only wants to track its own deals. This is another platform to operate, and you’d be swapping one for another.
Real pricing math: Vendasta charges no subscription and sets a monthly minimum spend instead. Starter has a $99 a month minimum with 1 team member and co-branding only. The white-label client portal starts on Professional, with a $499 a month minimum, 5 team members and a 1-year contract.
5. Systeme.io (best for funnels and courses on a small budget)
Systeme.io covers funnels, email campaigns, automation rules, websites, courses and a simple pipeline. If you used GoHighLevel mainly to build a funnel and sell a course or a digital product, it does that job with much less setup.
Best for: Solo operators and creators who need funnels and email in one place.
Not for: B2B teams with a real sales process. The pipeline is there, but the product is built around funnels and checkout pages.
Real pricing math: The free plan covers 2,000 contacts, 3 funnels and 1 automation rule. Startup is $17 a month, Webinar is $47 and Unlimited is $97 on monthly billing.
Best GoHighLevel Alternatives If You Only Track Your Own Deals
A pipeline CRM does one job. It shows every open deal, what stage it’s in and what you owe the buyer next. If that’s all you used GoHighLevel for, these three do it without the rest of the platform around it.
6. Fluid CRM (best for B2B teams of 1 to 10 that want a calm pipeline)
Fluid CRM is a visual sales pipeline for agencies, solo founders and B2B teams of 1 to 10. You get deals on a board, follow-up reminders with a daily digest, lead capture forms, 8 in-app automations, revenue forecasting and an API with webhooks. We built it.
Let me be plain about what it is not, because this is where a GoHighLevel user gets burned. Fluid CRM has no funnels, no landing pages, no SMS, no dialer, no marketing automation and no white-label mode. There are no client sub-accounts, and email is logged by BCC, not by a two-way inbox sync.
If any of those are part of how you make money, you’re in group A and you should pick from the five tools above.

What you get in return is a tool your team will open.
A verified customer who owns an agency wrote, “My agency has used many CRM’s and most of them are bloated and super complicated. Fluid is a diamond in the rough. It is simple and super easy to use, and it doesn’t take hours to upload a lead.”
Nicolas Virtsonis, who runs a specialist B2B marketing agency, listed the CRMs he’d been through: Sugar, Zoho, Pipedrive, Salesforce, ActiveCampaign, Vtiger and custom systems. His verdict on them was “They are all overly complex and simple entries take up your time.”
Two of those are on this list. I still think they’re right for some teams, and his point holds for a small agency that only wants to see its deals.
Fluid CRM also connects to Claude, ChatGPT and other AI assistants through an MCP connector. You can ask the assistant to create a deal, move a stage or log a call, and it does the typing. It can’t delete anything, and Fluid CRM itself doesn’t send email.
Best for: Agencies and small B2B teams that sell a service and want to see their own deals clearly.
Not for: Anyone who needs funnels, SMS, marketing automation or white-label resale. It’s also not built for teams above 20 people.
Real pricing math: $16/seat/month or $144/seat/year. There is one plan and every feature is in it. The price is charged in dollars, euros or pounds depending on where you log in.
7. Pipedrive (best for sales teams of 5 to 20)
Pipedrive is the best-known pipeline CRM, and it has earned that. If you have several salespeople and you want forecasting, team reports and email sequences, it goes deeper than Fluid CRM does.
Best for: Sales teams of 5 to 20 that want reporting and automation built around the pipeline.
Not for: Anyone hoping to replace GoHighLevel’s funnels or SMS. Pipedrive sells email campaigns and lead capture as add-ons, and it has no white-label mode.
Real pricing math: Lite is $14 per seat a month and Growth is $39 on annual billing, or $24 and $49 billed monthly. Full email sync and automations start on Growth.
The longer comparison is in Pipedrive alternatives.
8. Close (best for teams that sell by phone and text)
Close is the pick if the part of GoHighLevel you’d miss is calling and texting leads from inside the CRM. Calling, SMS and email are built in, so a salesperson can work a list without leaving the tool.
Best for: Small sales teams that live on the phone.
Not for: Email-first or referral-based agencies, who’d be paying for a phone system they won’t use.
Real pricing math: On annual billing, Solo is $9 a month for one user, Essentials is $35 per user and Growth is $99 per user. Billed monthly they are $19, $49 and $109. Automated workflows and the power dialer start on Growth, and calling and SMS usage is charged on top.
GoHighLevel vs HubSpot: Which One Fits A Small Agency
GoHighLevel vs HubSpot is a common comparison for anyone who needs the marketing platform, so here’s the short version. GoHighLevel is built for an agency that sets up and resells the same system to many clients. HubSpot is built for one business that markets to its own customers.
| GoHighLevel | HubSpot | |
|---|---|---|
| Built for | Agencies serving many clients | One business and its own customers |
| Client accounts | Sub-accounts, 3 on Starter and unlimited above it | None |
| Your brand on it | Your logo on the web app, SaaS Mode on Agency Pro only, white-label mobile app as a $497/month add-on | No white-label mode |
| How you pay | $97, $297 or $497 a month, plus usage for SMS, calls and email | Per seat and per marketing contact, by product and tier |
| Free option | 14-day trial | Free CRM for up to 2 users |
Pick GoHighLevel if your clients are local service businesses and you want to hand each one a branded login. HubSpot has no equivalent.
Pick HubSpot if you’re doing your own marketing and you want reporting that connects a campaign to a closed deal. Go in knowing where the automation sits, because the gap between Starter and Professional is wide.
And if you read both columns and neither sounds like your week, you probably only need to track your own deals. A small agency that sells by referral and outbound doesn’t need either one to track 30 deals.
When You Should Stay on GoHighLevel
Staying on GoHighLevel is the right call for some agencies. Don’t switch if any of these is true for you:
- You resell it to clients, on SaaS Mode or as part of a retainer.
- Your clients log in to their own sub-accounts.
- Your revenue depends on SMS and funnel automations that already work.
- Your team knows the platform and opens it every day without complaining.
If that’s you, the learning curve is already paid for. Moving would cost you weeks and win you nothing.
There’s also a middle path. You can keep GoHighLevel for client delivery and move only your own agency’s sales pipeline somewhere quieter. Your clients’ funnels and your own deals don’t have to live in the same tool.
How To Move Your Pipeline Out of GoHighLevel
Moving a sales pipeline out of GoHighLevel takes an afternoon if you only move what’s alive. These steps assume you only track your own deals and you’re heading to a pipeline CRM.
1. Export your opportunities
In GoHighLevel, open Opportunities and switch to a Smart List. Use the three-dot menu at the top right, beside Add Opportunity, and choose Export to download the list as a CSV file.
The file contains the columns that list shows. Make sure stage, value and contact are visible before you export.
2. Export your contacts
Go to Contacts, open Smart Lists, tick the contacts you want and choose Export from the More menu. HighLevel prepares the file in the background, and you download it from Bulk Actions when it’s ready.
3. Import only the deals you’re working
Bring over your 30 or so open deals, and leave the old won and lost ones in the export file. A clean board on day one is what gets a team to open the new tool on day two.
In Fluid CRM the import is a CSV upload with column matching. For a bigger move, my CRM migration post covers what to leave behind.
4. Decide what happens to the automations
List every GoHighLevel workflow that’s still switched on. For each one, either rebuild it in the new tool, hand it to a separate email tool or let it go.
Be honest here. If the list is long and the workflows bring in money, that’s a sign you need the marketing platform after all.
GoHighLevel Alternatives: Frequently Asked Questions
There isn’t a single best one, because no other tool does everything GoHighLevel does. HubSpot is the strongest all-round marketing platform, ActiveCampaign is best for email automation and Vendasta is the closest for white-label resale. Agencies that only need a sales pipeline are better off with a pipeline CRM such as Fluid CRM, Pipedrive or Close.
Yes. Systeme.io has a free plan with 2,000 contacts and 3 funnels, and HubSpot has a free CRM for up to 2 users. Fluid CRM has no free plan, only a 7-day free trial with no credit card required.
Vendasta does, with a white-label client portal starting on its Professional plan. HubSpot, Pipedrive and Close have no white-label mode, and Fluid CRM doesn’t have one. If white-label resale is your business model, GoHighLevel itself is still one of the few tools built for it.
GoHighLevel includes a CRM with contacts and pipelines, but it’s a much wider marketing platform. Funnels, websites, workflows, email and SMS marketing, calendars, courses and reputation tools all sit in the same product. If the CRM is the only part you use, a dedicated pipeline CRM will be simpler to work in.
Which GoHighLevel Alternative Should You Pick
Start with the question, not the tool. If you need funnels, SMS, marketing automation or white-label resale, pick from HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, Keap, Vendasta and Systeme.io, or stay on GoHighLevel.
If you only need to see your own deals and know who’s waiting on you, Fluid CRM gives you a calm pipeline that your team will open. Pipedrive suits a bigger sales team, and Close suits one that sells by phone.
