Close’s team plans start at $35 a seat, and that number is real. It is also the plan without the power dialer or workflows, which are the two reasons most outbound teams look at Close in the first place.
Close costs $9 to $139 per seat a month on annual billing, or $19 to $149 billed monthly. A 3 to 5 rep team that wants the power dialer and workflows needs Growth at $99 per seat, plus a phone line from $1 a month and about $0.02 per call minute on top.
What a 3 to 5 Rep Outbound Team Pays for Close Each Month
A calling team of 3 to 5 reps on Close Growth pays about $130 per rep a month once phone lines and call minutes are added, on annual billing. Add Close’s Call Assistant for recording and transcripts and it comes to about $170 to $177 per rep.
Close charges for calls by usage, so the minutes in the table below are an assumption you should swap for your own. I used 1,500 outbound minutes per rep a month, which is about 75 minutes on the phone a day across a 20-day month.
| Monthly cost on Growth, billed annually | 3 reps | 5 reps |
|---|---|---|
| Growth seats at $99 each | $297 | $495 |
| Phone lines, from $1 each | $3 | $5 |
| Call minutes, 1,500 per rep at about $0.02 | $90 | $150 |
| Total before Call Assistant | $390 | $650 |
| Call Assistant, $50 plus $0.02 per minute | $140 | $200 |
| Total with Call Assistant | $530 | $850 |
| Per rep, with Call Assistant | About $177 | $170 |
The rule of thumb is simple. Every extra 500 minutes adds about $10 per rep, and another $10 if Call Assistant records those minutes too.
Paying month to month moves the seat line to $109, so the same 5 reps pay $700 a month before Call Assistant. The same team on Essentials would pay about $330 a month with the same minutes, but every call is dialed by hand and nothing is automated.
So for a calling team the real choice is Growth at $99 against whatever you use now, not Essentials against Growth. If you are pricing a whole stack for a small team, our page on a sales team CRM shows what that team usually needs from day one.
Close Plans, Per-Seat Prices and Yearly Totals
Every Close plan is priced per user, and the lower number is the annual rate paid up front. The table adds what a full year of seats costs for 3, 5 and 10 people on annual billing, before any usage.
| Plan | Billed annually | Billed monthly | 3 seats a year | 5 seats a year | 10 seats a year |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Solo | $9/user/month | $19/user/month | 1 user only | 1 user only | 1 user only |
| Essentials | $35/user/month | $49/user/month | $1,260 | $2,100 | $4,200 |
| Growth | $99/user/month | $109/user/month | $3,564 | $5,940 | $11,880 |
| Scale | $139/user/month | $149/user/month | $5,004 | $8,340 | $16,680 |
Monthly billing costs the most on the cheap plans. Solo is 2.1 times its annual price and Essentials is 40% more, while Growth is about 10% more and Scale about 7%.
For 5 people on Growth, paying monthly adds $600 a year. That is a fair price for the right to leave during your first few months.
Close offers a 14-day free trial with no credit card and a 30-day money-back guarantee after you buy. There is no free plan, so when the trial ends you choose a plan or the account pauses.
Why Most Calling Teams End Up on Close Growth
Close adds features as the price goes up, and the ones that matter to an outbound team start on Growth. Essentials gives you built-in calling, email and SMS for a whole team, but each call is one click at a time and there are no automated sequences.
| What you need | Solo | Essentials | Growth | Scale |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Users | 1 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Leads | 10,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Built-in calling and SMS | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Two-way email sync | 3 accounts | 3 accounts | 10 accounts | 10 accounts |
| Power dialer | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Predictive dialer | No | No | No | Yes |
| Workflows (automated email, SMS and call steps) | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Bulk email | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| AI email rewrite and Chloe in workflows | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| AI credits per user a month | 500 | 1,000 | 1,500 | 2,000 |
| Call recording kept for | 30 days | 30 days | 90 days | Unlimited |
| Live call coaching | No | No | No | Yes |
| Custom objects and lead visibility rules | No | No | No | Yes |
Essentials to Growth: the dialer and the sequences
Growth adds the power dialer, which calls down a list without anyone touching the keyboard between calls. It also adds workflows, Close’s name for sequences that mix emails, texts and call tasks on a schedule.
Close’s AI agent, Chloe, is on every plan, but it can only be used inside workflows from Growth up. A team that wants Chloe to warm leads in the background is a Growth customer.
Growth to Scale: manager controls
Scale adds the predictive dialer, which rings several numbers at once and connects a rep when someone answers. It also brings live call coaching, unlimited recording retention, custom objects and rules about who can see which leads.
That is a manager’s plan. A team of 3 to 5 reps rarely needs a predictive dialer.
What Close Bills Outside the Seat Price
Close passes calling and texting costs through at cost, so the seat price never covers usage. Most outbound calls cost around $0.02 a minute and phone lines start at about $1 a month per line.
Here is everything that can land on the invoice outside the seat price.
- Phone lines. From $1 per line a month, or bring your own number.
- Call minutes. Around $0.02 a minute for most outbound calls.
- SMS. Billed by usage at cost.
- Call Assistant. Recording, summaries and transcripts for $50 a month per organization, plus $0.02 a minute.
- More AI credits. On team plans, credits go into a shared pool, capped at ten users’ worth, that refreshes every month and does not roll over. Extra credits can be bought.
- Extra organizations. $50 a month each, with one free on Growth and Scale.
None of these is hidden, since each one is printed on Close’s own page. The catch is that they scale with activity, so a team that makes more calls gets a bigger bill even when the seat count stays the same.
Before you budget for any of this, look back at your last month. How many of your team’s booked meetings started with a phone call, and how many started with an email reply?
When a Small Outbound Team Doesn’t Need Close’s Dialer
Close Growth is the right buy for a phone-first team. If your reps call down lists every morning and live in the dialer, the $99 seat pays for itself and the minutes are a cost of doing the job.
Plenty of small outbound teams don’t sell that way. Fenixtal, my outbound agency, booked 1,250+ sales calls for B2B clients, and every one of them was booked through cold email and LinkedIn messages rather than a dialer.
For a team like that, the calling stack is the part of Close you pay for and barely open. What it needs instead is a pipeline that shows every interested reply, who owns it and what happens next. Our list of Close CRM alternatives sorts the other options by how your team sells.
Austin Verner runs Cold Emailers, an agency that books meetings by email, and moved his pipeline to Fluid CRM when Google Sheets got too hard to manage. “Fluid really makes it easy without all of the unnecessary features that other CRMs have.”

We built Fluid CRM as one plan, at $16 per seat a month or $144 per seat a year. Reminders on every deal, a daily digest email, 8 in-app automations, lead capture forms, the API, webhooks and an MCP connector for Claude and ChatGPT are all in it, so there is no higher plan to reach for.
Fluid CRM is the smaller tool, in two ways that matter for this choice. It has no built-in calling or dialer, and it logs email by BCC rather than syncing your inbox both ways, which Close does on every plan.
If you want the two side by side, Fluid CRM vs Close covers it. Agencies that book meetings for clients can also read our list of the best CRM for outbound agencies, and teams still building the sending side can start with our cold email outreach playbook.
